      Configure VSystems Object Storage Repository

      A VSystems object storage repository is a repository intended for long-term data storage. It is a S3 compatible storage solution. In this article, you will learn how to configure a S3 storage system as a backup repository.

      1. To add an object storage repository to Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure, open the Veeam Backup and Replication console, click on Backup Infrastructure.

      2. In the Backup Infrastructure pane, select Backup Repositories > click Add Repository.

      3. In the Add Backup Repository dialog, select Object Storage.

      4. In the Object Storage dialog, select S3 Compatible. 

      5. At the S3 Compatible dialog, select S3 Compatible.

      6. At the Name step of the wizard, specify a name and description for the object storage repository > click Next.

      7. At the Account step of the wizard, enter the below information:

        1. Enter the Service Point for the connection provided by VSystems.

        2. Enter the Region for the bucket provided by VSystems.
        3. Click Add to add the object storage credentials (access key and secret key) provided for the VSystems Object Storage.
        4. Optional, Specify a server to access the object storage repository in the Connection mode.
        5. Click Next.

      8. At the Bucket step of the wizard, enter the below information:

        1. Enter the Bucket by clicking Browse to choose the VSystems object storage bucket.

        2. Enter the Folder by clicking Browse to choose or create a folder where the backups will be stored.

        3. Optional, check Limit object storage consumption to if you'd like to limit the amount of data that can be stored in the bucket

        4. Recommended, check Make recent backups immutable for if you'd like to prevent modification or deletion of backups for the set number of days. Note you are responsible for any charges of undeletable backups with this set.
        5. Click Next.

      9. At the Mount Server step of the wizard, choose a Mount Server > click Next.

      10. At the Review step of the wizard, click Next.

      11. At the Apply step of the wizard, click Apply.

      12. At the Summary step of the wizard, review the settings and click Finish.

      13. You can now create a backup or backup copy job with the destination of the VSystems object storage repository. VSystems recommends you enable encryption for any backup or backup copy jobs sending data to the object storage repository.
