[Backup for Microsoft 365](https://kb.vsystems.com/backup-for-microsoft-365?hsLang=en) # Connect Veeam Backup for M365 to M365 Organization ## This article explains how to connect Virtual Systems hosted Veeam Backup for M365 Backup to the Microsoft 365 organization. This process requires a Microsoft 365 user with the Global Admin role assigned. 1. Check the desired services to protect. 1. **Exchange Online** 2. **SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business** 3. **Microsoft Teams** 1. **Teams chats** Note that Teams chats backup requires using protected APIs and additional billing charges from Microsoft.
